Team Rocket is back. Every Destined Rivals product explained, from the 36-pack booster display and Elite Trainer Box to the booster bundle, Build & Battle Box and blisters.
Scarlet & Violet Destined Rivals is the Pokémon TCG expansion that brought Team Rocket back to the card game. It released in English on 30 May 2025 as the tenth main Scarlet & Violet set, with 244 cards, and seven of its sealed formats, from a 36-pack booster display down to a single booster pack, are covered here: what each one is and who it suits.
The flagship is the Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet Destined Rivals Booster Display Box (36 Packs), the largest pack count of the formats covered here. It is live now in the Pokémon trading cards range at PUSHAS, where every box is sealed and authenticated by hand, next to every other Destined Rivals product in this guide.
Destined Rivals is built around a rivalry, and the cards split along that line: Team Rocket's Pokémon on one side, heroic Trainers and their partners on the other. It continues the Trainer's Pokémon mechanic, where a card is tied to a named Trainer, and it counts 83 new cards tagged as Team Rocket's.
On the heroic side, the set features pairs such as Ethan and Ho-Oh ex, Cynthia and Garchomp ex, and Arven and Mabosstiff ex, alongside Pokémon belonging to Misty, Steven and Marnie. Opposite them sits Team Rocket, with Pokémon including Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex. Of the set's 17 Pokémon ex, 10 are Trainer's Pokémon ex.
The set holds 244 cards in total: 182 in the main set and 62 secret rares. Among them are 23 illustration rare Pokémon, 11 special illustration rare Pokémon and six gold-etched hyper rares. The English set draws its cards from two Japanese releases, The Glory of Team Rocket and Heat Wave Arena.
For collectors who grew up with the original Team Rocket cards, the draw is plain: the villains return as a full faction, with their own Pokémon ex and a large run of special illustrations. For players, the rivalry theme gives the set two very different kinds of deck to build. If you want to see where the set sits in the wider era, our guide to every Scarlet & Violet set in order walks through it.
Each of these products is built around the set's booster packs, with or without extras. Here is each format, from largest to smallest.
The Destined Rivals Booster Display Box is a sealed display of 36 Destined Rivals booster packs and nothing else. It is the format for opening the set in depth, filling a binder with the main set and chasing the illustration rares, and it can also be kept sealed on a shelf. We cover it in detail in our Destined Rivals booster display guide.

The Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Box pairs booster packs with play accessories. Its promo card is Team Rocket's Wobbuffet, one of the set's Team Rocket's Pokémon, which makes it the pick for anyone who wants a card from the villains' side guaranteed. It is also a strong gift for someone who plans to play.

The Destined Rivals Booster Bundle is six Destined Rivals booster packs in a compact box, with no accessories. It suits collectors who want a proper session of opening without committing to a full display, and it sits well as a mid-sized gift.

As the name says, the Destined Rivals Build & Battle Box is built for building a deck and battling with it. It is the format aimed at play rather than display, and a natural next step for someone who has learned the basics and wants to try the set's cards in games.

The Destined Rivals 3 Booster Packs gives you three packs from the set together. It is a smaller opening than the bundle and a simple add-on to a birthday card or stocking.

The Destined Rivals Blister Pack is a sealed blister, supplied in an assorted design, so the design you receive may vary. It is an easy small gift for a young collector.

The Destined Rivals Single Booster Pack is the smallest way into the set: one sealed pack. It is the right buy if you want to try the set before moving up to a bundle or a display.
