The Gel-Kayano 14 first released in 2008 as part of ASICS' GEL-Kayano stability series. ASICS brought it back with its late-2000s aesthetic and 2008-inspired tooling, updating the materials and componentry, and the ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 Metropolis Jasper Green keeps that technical look in a cool grey palette.
The upper uses breathable mesh with silver and black leather overlays in the layered construction the Kayano 14 is known for. Jasper Green accents land on the tongue and the lateral heel branding. GEL cushioning in the forefoot and rearfoot absorbs impact, carried on the model's layered midsole.
