ASICS GEL‑1130 White Clay Canyon reinterprets a storied running heritage through a refined lifestyle lens, marrying technical lineage with contemporary streetwear appeal. Originally born from ASICS’s GEL‑1000™ series and inspired by the performance‑driven GEL‑KAYANO® 14 runner, the GEL‑1130 silhouette has been revitalised for 2023, embodying both athletic engineering and modern fashion sensibility. This iteration’s White Clay Canyon colourway balances crisp neutral tones with earthy accents, offering a versatile aesthetic that resonates with sneaker enthusiasts and everyday wearers alike. Its design ethos underscores ASICS’s commitment to blending comfort, stability, and timeless style without compromise.
Overview
The GEL‑1130’s upper combines breathable white mesh with strategic synthetic leather overlays and clay‑toned ASICS Tiger Stripes to echo late‑2000s runner aesthetics through a 2023‑ready reinterpretation. Beneath this refined exterior lies ASICS’s signature GEL® cushioning in the heel, engineered to deliver responsive shock absorption for all‑day comfort, while the TRUSSTIC™ support system maintains structural integrity for steady strides. Environmental consideration also plays a role, with dope‑dyed sockliners that reduce water usage and emissions versus traditional dyeing methods, underscoring ASICS’s evolving approach to sustainable design.
Key Highlights
Heritage Meets Modernity: Draws deeply from the GEL‑1000 series and GEL‑KAYANO® 14 inspiration, translating classic runner DNA into a contemporary silhouette.
Balanced Comfort & Support: GEL® cushioning and the TRUSSTIC™ system work in concert to offer plush, stable wear suitable for everyday lifestyles.
Refined Colourway: White mesh and clay accents cultivate a clean yet grounded aesthetic, making this a versatile addition to both casual and curated wardrobe rotations.
