The Nike Kobe 11 Elite Low Protro 'Fade to Black' (IM4260-001) is the Protro return of the black and gold Kobe 11 that Kobe Bryant wore in his final NBA game. Released on 13 April 2026, ten years to the day after his 60-point farewell, it pairs a black Flyknit upper with Metallic Gold accents.
Overview
The Fade to Black series counted down Kobe's signature line to his last game on 13 April 2016, with the Kobe 11 as its final chapter. The Kobe 11 Fade to Black Protro returns that pair for its tenth anniversary.
A black Flyknit upper carries Metallic Gold Swooshes and hits throughout. Under the Protro update, a ReactX drop-in midsole replaces the original Lunarlon foam, the heel keeps the original Air Zoom unit, and a revised outsole tread adds traction and court feel.
Protro is short for performance retro, Kobe's idea of bringing back his shoes with updated tech for today's game. The low-cut Kobe 11 Fade to Black works on court and with black-based fits, and is a key pair for Kobe collectors.
