The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG ‘Laney’ draws direct inspiration from Michael Jordan’s formative years at Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, translating a legacy narrative into a refined low-top silhouette. Rooted in the heritage of the Air Jordan lineage, this iteration channels the school’s signature blue and yellow palette into a contemporary streetwear essential. Balancing historical storytelling with modern versatility, it reflects Jordan Brand’s continued commitment to blending sport heritage with elevated lifestyle design across its most iconic silhouettes.
Overview
Constructed with premium leather overlays and a classic low-cut profile, the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG ‘Laney’ maintains the timeless structure that has defined the model since its debut. The design typically features a clean leather base accented by bold “Varsity Royal” and “University Gold” tones, referencing Laney High School’s team colors in a visually striking yet balanced composition. Signature Air Jordan branding elements, including the Nike Air tongue detail and Wings-inspired motifs, reinforce authenticity and heritage appeal. As part of the Jordan 1 Low OG family, this pair delivers everyday wearability while preserving the original DNA of the Air Jordan legacy.
