The Air Jordan 1 High OG 'Patent Bred' (555088-063) is the Air Jordan 1 in its original black and red Bred colourway, rebuilt in patent leather. Released on 30 December 2021, it swaps the usual tumbled leather for a full patent leather upper with a high-gloss finish.
Overview
Bred, short for black and red, is one of the defining Air Jordan 1 colourways and is tied to Michael Jordan's earliest seasons. The Patent Bred keeps that colour blocking and OG High shape, and changes only the material.
The Air Jordan 1 Patent Bred uses glossy patent leather in Black and Varsity Red across the upper. A white midsole sits on a Varsity Red rubber outsole, the Wings logo is stamped on the collar, and Nike Air branding sits on the tongue tag, as on the OG High.
The mirror finish makes the Bred palette sharper and easier to wipe clean than tumbled leather. It works with black denim, cargos or monochrome fits, and suits collectors building a run of Bred Air Jordan 1s.
